Travel ban to 'have a lasting impact' on the Australian economy

Herald Sun reporter Genevieve Alison said the “flow on effects” of the extension of the travel ban on flights from mainland China will become “a nationwide issue”.

Speaking of trade and tourism Ms Alison said there will be a “lasting impact from having those ties severed for so long” and the government needs to look at “ways to speed up the recovery

Fellow panelist Nic Hayes told Sky News host Peter Gleeson “small businesses as well as big businesses” will continue to suffer because of the travel ban.
