Economy shutdown a 'good thing' for flattening the curve

The Switzer report’s Peter Switzer says “the bottom line is we shouldn’t be raiding supermarkets and overbuying” and believes “we will be back to work within three or four weeks”.

“These six month calls are sensible when it comes to how long the medical emergency will be around,” Mr Switzer told Sky News.

“I think the shutdown of the economy is going to be a good thing for flattening the curve.

“In the interim period I just think we should do our best to keep people in work if they can, and try and support your local areas.”
